Truth and Justice for Lasting Peace ![]()

Each year, from the first Sunday of Advent through the Feast of the Epiphany, the Dominican Family around the world unites for the Dominican Month for Peace — a time of prayer, reflection, and action for regions affected by conflict.
This year, our focus turns to Cameroon, under the theme: “Truth and Justice for a Lasting Peace.”
Throughout this sacred season, join us and the greater Dominican family Offering prayers and liturgies for the people of Cameroon, and promoting solidarity and justice initiatives.
In past years, our global family has prayed for peace in Haiti, the Amazon, Myanmar, Venezuela, Ukraine, India, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Colombia. May our shared prayer and action bring truth, justice, and lasting peace to all.
Because peace calls us to the places the world does not see.
We invite you to walk with us in prayer, awareness, and compassionate action.
More than 25% of the country is now controlled by armed groups, and our Sisters and Dominican Laity are living within the separatist region — remaining a steady presence of prayer, refuge, and hope.
While global attention shifts elsewhere, our Dominican family in Cameroon is living through an ongoing conflict that has affected daily life for nearly a decade.
May we see what others overlook.
May we be peace where peace is needed most.
Follow along all month as we shine a light on Cameroon and our Dominican family who remain courageously present.
