Sr. Suzanne Repasky, OP

Sr. M. Suzanne, OP, 80, the former Margaret Ann Repasky, died on March 31, 2015, at Regina Health Center, Richfield, OH. Sr. Suzanne, the daughter of Stephen and Margaret Hartman Repasky, from St. Dominic Parish in Youngstown, entered the Sisters of St. Dominic of Akron, now Dominican Sisters of Peace, on August 15, 1954. She made profession of vows on August 4, 1956. Sr. Suzanne earned her BSE from St. John College, Cleveland and MA from the University of Dayton. She began her teaching career at St. Felicitas, Cleveland. She also taught at St. Hilary and St. Vincent, both in Akron, and SS. Peter & Paul, Doylestown. From 1970 to 1974, she served as principal at St. Joseph & Regina Coeli, Alliance and from 1974 to 1978 was principal at St. Paul, Akron. Sr. Suzanne also taught religion at St. Vincent-St. Mary and mathematics at Archbishop Hoban High Schools both in Akron. She was known as an excellent teacher and related especially well to her male students. Continue reading →

Sr. Connie Haug, OP

Sr. Connie Haug, OP (Sr. Omer), was 80 years old when she was silently, gently, beautifully, called back home to God, just a few months before her celebration of 60 years of Dominican professed life. Sr. Connie had had a full and successful ministerial life. After dementia claimed her active ministry she began long years of quiet prayer, simply being and always smiling. Continue reading →
