Sr. Connie Haug, OP (Sr. Omer), was 80 years old when she was silently, gently, beautifully, called back home to God, just a few months before her celebration of 60 years of Dominican professed life. Dominican Sister of Peace Kathryn McQuillan, OP, died on February 23, 2015, at the age of 95 at Sansbury Care Center (St. Catharine, KY). Born in Philadelphia in 1919 to Philip and Theresa Hartman, Kathryn was one of 11 children. Three of those children would become religious Sisters. One would become a priest. Continue reading →
Dominican Sister Juliana Savoy’s earthly life ended January 22, 2015, at the age of 88. The Motherhouse at St. Catharine, KY, became her home when Hurricane Katrina forced her relocation; she died after several years in Sansbury Care Center at the end of an itinerant life. Continue reading →
Sr. Carolyn Krebs, OP (formerly Sr. Mary Alexandria), died peacefully at St. Luke Hospice in Bethlehem, PA, on January 18, 2015. Sr. Carolyn was born in Baltimore, MD, the only child of Charles and Agnes (Strickroth) Krebs, on May 7, 1935. She is survived by her cousin Margaret McGrath. Continue reading →
