St. Agnes Students Attend Dominican Preaching Conference

MEMPHIS, TN – St. Agnes Acacemy (SAA) students Anna Stavrum, Gabby Willingham, Emily Drewry and Grace Ashbery represented St. Agnes Academy at the 2014 Dominican Preaching Conference held at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI. St. Agnes Academy was one of 26 Dominican high schools from across the country to participate in this Conference. The St. Agnes ladies learned more about the four Dominican pillars of Study, Prayer, Community, and Service, and how they can apply these pillars to their school leadership and to their daily lives. They learned that preaching is something that takes place not only from the pulpit, but from service and leading their lives in a way as to be an example for others. Anna, Gabby, Emily, and Grace are retreat leaders at St. Agnes, and will use the skills they learned from the Conference to help their fellow students.
