Vocation Discernment & Prayer Group for Women (Virtual Program)

Like exercise and study groups, discernment can be better and easier when you are not alone. The benefits of sharing and learning in a group about religious life are many. These Zoom gatherings help you build relationships and community with fellow discerners and Sisters.

We will gather to pray together and learn about prayer forms (Adoration, Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Liturgy of the Hours, Rosary, and Taize prayer), community living, our relationship with God, discernment tools, maintaining relationships with family and friends after entering religious life, and much more.

Two Sisters who participated in both a prayer and discernment group share what helped them to identify whether their vocation was really God’s call to religious life:

“I don’t know if I asked for a sign, but I did have a lot of conversation. I talked with friends, I talked with Sisters who were in the community, and I prayed with a prayer group that I was a part of.” (Sr. Diane)
“I talked to Sr. Diane because she and I were at the university at the same time, a year apart. Diane and I were in a group together, where young women talked about the possibility of vocations, and how to be part of a broader group, and how God is in our lives.” (Sr. JoAnn)
