Sister Ana Gonzalez is a Dominican Sister of Peace, and as a proud Fronteriza, she calls El Paso, Texas, con mucho orgullo, her home.
Sister Ana is a recent graduate from the Boston College Clough School of Theology and Ministry, where she earned her Master’s in Theology and Ministry with a concentration in Latino Pastoral Ministry. Prior to her recent studies, Sister Ana ministered at Albertus Magnus College. She loved working closely with the Latino community, international students, and adults. Albertus Magnus College is a ministry founded by the Dominican Sisters of Peace.
In her earlier years, Sister Ana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Foreign Languages and Communication from Loyola University, New Orleans. During her time in New Orleans, she developed a profound passion for the New Orleans Saints football team, and it is here where she first explored the possibility of living as a Catholic religious sister. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, Sister Ana pursued her Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Sister Ana’s professional experience spans public relations, marketing, and corporate relations. In 2014, she embarked on a remarkable adventure and journey with the Dominican Sisters of Peace, ultimately becoming a full Dominican Sister and member of the Order of Preachers in 2018, and making her perpetual profession of vows with the Dominican Sisters of Peace in 2021. Sister Ana is honored to be a Catholic Sister and an occasional columnist for the Global Sisters Report.
La hermana Ana González es una Hermana Dominica de la Paz y recien graduada del posgrado en la Escuela de Teología y Ministerio Clough de Boston College. Una orgullosa Fronteriza, la hermana Ana llama a El Paso, Texas, con mucho orgullo, su hogar.
Antes de realizar una Maestría en Teología y Ministerio con especialización en Ministerio Pastoral Latino en Boston College, la hermana Ana ejercio en Albertus Magnus College y le encantaba trabajar estrechamente con la comunidad latina, los estudiantes internacionales y la población adulta. Albertus Magnus College es un ministerio fundado por las Hermanas Dominicas de la Paz.
La hermana Ana obtuvo su Licenciatura en Ideomas Modernos y Sciencia de la Comunicación de la Universidad Loyola de Nueva Orleans. Durante su estadía en Nueva Orleans, desarrolló una profunda pasión por los Santos de Nueva Orleans y exploró por primera vez la posibilidad de vivir como una hermana religiosa católica. Luego obtuvo su Maestría en Comunicación de la Universidad de Texas en El Paso. Trabajó profesionalmente en relaciones públicas, marketing y relaciones corporativas. En 2014 comenzó su gran aventura con las Hermanas Dominicas de la Paz, convirtiéndose finalmente en Hermana Dominicana de pleno derecho y miembro de la Orden de Predicadores en 2018 y profesó perpetuamente en 2021.
