Christ asked the disciples to lay down their nets and follow Him. We invite you to lay down the nets that are a part of your daily life and discover what it is like to serve God’s people as a Dominican Sister of Peace.
At a Mission for Peace event, you will join with our Sisters and other women who are considering religious life to pray, work, play and build community. This five-day, service-based, hands-on learning experience offers you a real-life experience of prayer and community living. You will have time also to talk to our Sisters to get answers to the questions you have about religious life and about serving others as a Dominican Sister of Peace.
Join us and other Dominican communities in Chicago for a service immersion program where you can visit and learn from more than one Dominican community in one place. The Dominican Sisters Service Immersion Experience: Preaching in Action-Igniting Hope, will be held June 17-21, 2025. This program is open to single Catholic women between the ages of 18 to 45 who are discerning a possible call to religious life or lay ministry in the church or who are interested in learning more about religious life and service in the church. Enjoy this time for prayer, service, community, and fun over several days!
If interested, please reach out to Sr. June Fitzgerald or call or text 570-336-3991.
