Mission for Peace

Christ asked the disciples to lay down their nets and follow Him.  We invite you to lay down the nets that are a part of your daily life and discover what it is like to serve God’s people as a Dominican Sister of Peace.

At a Mission for Peace (formerly called Mission Immersion) event, you will join with our Sisters and other women who are considering religious life to pray, work, play and build community.  This five-day, service-based, hands-on learning experience offers you a real-life experience of prayer and community living.  You will have time also to talk to our Sisters to get answers to the questions you have about religious life and about serving others as a Dominican Sister of Peace.

Held twice a year, we have hosted this program virtually and in person at different locations where our sisters minister — in Columbus & Akron, Ohio and in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Check our Upcoming Events webpage for more information about our next “Mission for Peace” program.
