Sr. Janice Bachman, Columbus, OH, spent the first half of her Dominican life in health care ministry, first in pharmacy services and then in hospital administration in Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota. In 1989, she received a Master of Arts in Spirituality from Creighton University, Omaha, NE. Since 1997, Sr. Janice has ministered as a spiritual and retreat director in Columbus, OH. She is also a Jungian analyst and is on the summer faculty for the Graduate Program in Christian Spirituality at Creighton University.
"The motto of the Dominican Order, 'To contemplate and give to others the fruits of our contemplation' has been my inner compass and guide throughout these years," Sr. Janice said. "Through living in a variety of communities and engaging in diverse ministries, I have been pulled into a deepening awareness of the reality of God’s Reign in which we live and move and have our being. I love my ministry because I feel called to it. In working with adults in the development of their spiritual lives, I often perceive God’s loving presence within me and other. I am grateful to be a part of God’s dream for the Dominican Sisters of Peace."
