Sr. Jeanne Conrad, Columbus, OH, is a math tutor at The Dominican Learning Center in Columbus, OH. “The years have been filled with surprises,” Sr. Jeanne said. "I thought I would spend my whole life teaching math to high school students. But others saw gifts in me of which I was not aware. Sr. Jeanne has used her math skills in various capacities throughout her life, first teaching in grade schools in Pennsylvania and Michigan and later in high schools in New York, Ohio and Connecticut. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Math from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, OH, and a Master of Science in Math from the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL. She was principal of Dominican Academy in New York, NY, and Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School in Portsmouth, OH. Her math skills served her well during her time as bookkeeper for St. Mary’s High School, New Haven, CT, Nazareth Towers, Columbus, OH, and in the congregational finance office.
