New Orleans Area Associates and Sisters gathered at the Peace Center for a morning of Lenten Reflections on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Together, Sisters and Associates prayed and reflected on the Scriptural Way of the Cross, which was approved by Pope Paul VI and used by both Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. The Fourteen Stations start with the Last Supper and conclude with the Resurrection. Those who joined in prayer anticipated Easter by sending each person out with blessings from Sr. Maxeen Shonk’s book, Blessings upon Blessings.

Two art pieces were presented to help focus prayer, an African American Jesus and a Kenyan Jesus and Simon.
