The late Sisters Charles Francis and Rose Frances McOsker, were two of the five honorees at the St. Michael School, Lowell, Massachusetts, Second Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards held on May 1, 2025, at Lenzi’s in Dracut, MA. Sisters Rose Frances and Charles Francis were two of the last three Dominican Sisters of St. Catharine of Siena, Kentucky to be stationed at St. Michael School. They graduated from there in 1938.
Besides teaching, Sr. Rose Frances ministered as Principal from 1971 to 1989, and Sr. Charles Francis as Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education.
Over 270 people attended the dinner with several of the Sisters’ family members present to accept the award and the city and state proclamations on behalf of Sisters Charles Francis and Rose Frances.
The Sisters in St. Catharine, KY, founded the school in 1889.
