June 20 marked World Refugee Day, and across the country, including in Louisville, religious leaders and advocates rallied in support of immigrants amid the Trump administration's deportation efforts.
This nationwide initiative was influenced by the bishop of San Diego, who encouraged faith leaders to show up at federal courts on Friday to stand with immigrants in federal immigration hearings.
Some of our Kentucky Sisters and Associates joined Kentucky Refugee Ministries, IRC, Catholic Charities, Kentucky Office for Refugees (KOR) and other faith leaders to speak out and encourage the administration to heed the words of the book of Leviticus: “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."
Thanks to our Kentucky Sisters and Associates for speaking out!

Right on, Sisters and Associates !!
Way to go, Sisters! Thank you all for standing up for
refugees!
Thank you, sisters for your witness to speak the truth and live the truth! God bless you abundantly!
