In the musical Hamilton, the title character asks, "What is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."
Associate Elaine Riley in Springfield, KY, has been creating a garden to honor the legacy of our Sisters who served God, the Church, and the Congregation for more than 200 years. This has been a labor of love for Elaine, who designed and planted each flower bed and has cared for them all summer.
We are grateful for Elaine's loving hand in this sacred space. To paraphrase Audrey Hepburn, "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow, and to honor yesterday."

Elaine

Dear Elaine,
Thank you for caring for our flower garden and enabling such beauty! When I lived in the Kentucky MH, several sisters did the same.
But they are now in Sansbury
or have gone to God. God bless you!

Dear Elaine,
When I was living down by the farm I saw how many, many hours you spend lovingly caring for the garden. You told me once that you wanted to keep it manicured for us to enjoy. You do keep it manicured, and we do enjoy it!
