Tuesday's Mariposa Girl Summit brought together over 300 Latina students from local elementary, middle and high schools for a morning of community, creativity, learning and celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity for these young ladies to come together and celebrate their heritage and strength, encourage one another, and learn more about opportunities available to them through several organizations in central Ohio. We are so thankful for the sponsors and volunteers who helped make the summit a reality!
Wow! I can only say wow again! The time and dedication it took to coordinate this event was over the top. It is also what is necessary to empower our female friends to explore and value their heritage. Only good things can results from this kind of effort.
