Torrential summer rain could not stop the July 11 Soulful Supper with the Sisters. While we moved the event indoors, we were able to enjoy a "cookout" meal along with prayer and table fellowship.

Vocation Minister Sr. Ana opened the evening with a guided reflection. Dinner guests looked back on their week in imaginary "photo shoots," reliving both the week's joys and challenges.

Sr. Mary led the group in prayer before a delicious meal and meaningful conversations about discernment, religious life, the four pillars of Dominican spirituality (prayer, study, community, and ministry), and the importance of maintaining relationships and connection with family.  

At the end of the meal, Sr. Ellen led us in prayer.

The evening ended with a birthday song and wishes for Sister Mary, lit by the glow of sparklers.

Guests who stayed over enjoyed a movie and more community discussion.
