On August 15, Feast of the Assumption of Mary, six Sisters celebrated Jubilees at St. Catharine Motherhouse.
Dominican Sisters of Peace Rachel Sena (50), Nang Nguyen (60), and Claire McGowan, Rose Marie Cummins, Catherine Mary Albright and Joyce Montgomery, celebrating 65 years, we honored as examples of living and preaching the Dominican Charism.
Sisters, Associates, families, and friends filled the chapel with Tammy Brooks, Community Life Coordinator, welcoming the assembly.
The main Presider was Fr. Joseph Dung Nguyen, nephew of Sr. Nang; concelebrating was Fr. Tom Clark.
Cantor Angela Crenshaw, OPA, led the assembly in song and the reflection was offered by Jessie Rathburn, Co-L, Program Manager of Land Justice Futures. Jubilarians renewed their vows, with all Dominican Sisters of Peace joining them.
The heartfelt liturgy was followed by a festive dinner in the beautifully decorated dining room.
We thank God for all Jubilarians’ service to God’s people!
