The Peace Center celebrated National Night Out Against Crime on October 6 with a block party for neighbors and friends. Members of our Advisory Council donated funds to purchase the hamburgers, hot dogs and all that went with them. One Council member and her husband donated all the soda and water and provided a great chef behind one of the grills. The Together Gert Town Association donated chips that the younger folks were happy to enjoy. Neighbors brought side dishes and desserts to share for everyone. From the youngest child to the young adults to the senior adults, all enjoyed the time together.
