Upcoming Discernment Events
Whether you are looking for a quiet, contemplative introduction to religious life or you would like to experience the joy of ministry first-hand, the Vocations Team of the Dominican Sisters of Peace would like to welcome you to one of our retreats. These events are free and are held at our Motherhouses, ministries, and convents around the country. Watch this page for more information about discernment events near you.
Our “Come and See” retreats give you and other discerning women an opportunity to meet our sisters by joining us for prayer, meals, presentations, conversation, and fun. You will have the opportunity to spend time with one of the Dominican Sisters of Peace to talk about your own vocation or to ask questions about discernment and religious life. The retreat also includes time for quiet personal prayer and reflection.
The next Come and See retreat will be September 13-15, 2020. Check back again for more information in the near future, or click here to be added to our email list to receive event information and other vocation news. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Are you on a journey towards a discovery of your true vocation? Join other women who are discerning the same call by taking part in our monthly Zoom call. Our vocation ministers and other Dominican Sisters of Peace will be on each call to discuss vocation-related topics and to answer your questions.
Here are the dates for our summer meetings:
June 12, 2020, 7:30 to 9:00 pm ET
July 10, 2020, 7:30 to 9:00 pm ET
August 14, 2020, 7:30 to 9:00 pm ET

The four pillars of Dominican life are community, prayer, study, and service. The Mission Immersion Retreat allows you to experience prayer, service, community, and fun over several days! The Mission Immersion retreat is open to single Catholic women between the ages of 18 to 45 who are discerning a possible call to religious life or lay ministry in the church.
Check back again for more information on our next Mission Immersion experience. Or, if you want to learn more about this experience, please contact us.
