Whether you are looking for a quiet, contemplative introduction to religious life or you would like to experience the joy of ministry first-hand, the Vocations Team of the Dominican Sisters of Peace would like to welcome you to one of our programs. These events are free and are held at our Motherhouses, ministry sites, and convents around the country.

Our in-person “Come and See” retreats and our online “Zoom and See” retreats give you and other discerning women an opportunity to meet our sisters by joining us for prayer, meals, presentations, conversation, and fun. Both venues provide you with opportunities to spend time with one of our Dominican Sisters of Peace to talk about your own vocation or to ask questions about discernment and religious life. These retreats also include time for quiet personal prayer and reflection.

The Mission for Peace experience allows you to experience prayer, service, community, and fun over several days! It is open to single Catholic women between the ages of 18 to 45 who are discerning a possible call to religious life or lay ministry in the church.
Our next Mission Immersion experience will be in Summer 2026. We will post details about this free opportunity in the near future.

We offer short retreats online several times a year to give you more prayer and discernment opportunities. These mini-retreats are often virtual retreats on a Sunday afternoon.
Our next mini-retreat will be Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 2-5pm ET. Theme: Becoming Women of Peace: Yesterday and Today.
